Are You Pleasing God?

“But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for anyone who approaches God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.” (Hebrews 11:6) If we don’t have faith, we have something else – a serious problem! So serious that escaping it is impossible – unless we believe He exists and rewards us for seeking Him. Hopefully, we are all true believers. No atheist on earth can please God. They have the serious problem. They avoid the answer for it.

Faith is the means by which we have a relationship with God the Father and His Son, Jesus Christ. Precisely what does faith do for us? It converts to our righteousness. “Abram put his faith in
the LORD, who attributed it to him as an act of righteousness.” It is the source of our life. “See, the rash have no integrity; but the just one who is righteous because of faith shall live.” (Habakkuk 2:4)
“For by grace you have been saved through faith, and this is not from you; it is the gift of God; it is not from works, so no one may boast.” (Ephesians 2:8-9) Wow! Even our faith that gets us to heaven is a gift from God. We can’t work our way there. Faith is good for our health. Researchers at the Mayo Clinic concluded, “Most studies have shown that religious involvement and spirituality are associated with better health outcomes, including greater longevity, coping skills, and health-related quality of life (even during terminal illness) and less anxiety, depression, and suicide. Several studies have shown that addressing the spiritual needs of the patient may enhance recovery from illness.”

For clarity: If we do not believe in someone we have not seen or heard or smelled or tasted or touched, then we cannot please God. It is for these very reasons that faith is so highly prized by God. We don’t find Him via our senses. Even many who saw and heard Christ in person did not believe in Him. Expunge ALL doubt. Believe implicitly. Please God.
